West Mountain Capital is virtually debt free with a highly profitably environmental services company well established in its market and seeking to both diversify and expand. It will continue to improve its EBITDA and profitability through engineered advancements in efficiency, aggressive market penetration and diversification.
West Mountain Capital is the operator, through Phase Separation Solutions, one of only 3 facilities in Canada approved for the bulk treatment of PCB impacted soil. This is a market estimated to contain up to 500,000 metric tonnes of material representing a potential value of upwards of $400 million in Canada alone. This market is now governed by newly adopted Federal Regulations which stipulate and mandate end disposal deadlines between 2009 and 2014. West Mountain Capital is now, with its patented technology, partnering with a major Chinese environmental services company to provide brownfield remediation services and to assist with the supply and deployment of other waste management technologies. This is a newly developing market with the rapid development and adoption of environmental protection regulations in the face of rapidly increasing environmental degradation. The market for services which is focused on pollution prevention, industrial water treatment and brownfield remediation was pegged at $172 billion in 2008. In addition cooperative agreements to access the TPS technology for use in the largest market in South America, Brazil, are being negotiated which would place Phase Separation Solutions in a strong position to capitalize on growth in this sector there.
